Ways To Prepare Notes for Exams

Note preparing should be done in such a way that it can act as a brief textbook for all the chapters studied. Notes do not have a certain way for preparation to ensure it is useful during exams. There are notes to be taken during class and one would not mind the handwriting as the students may probably be in a hurry to write as much as possible while the teacher continues to deliver the lecture. However, after the important points are jotted down, they should be legibly written again as bullet points onto a cleaner notebook along with the date if needed.

The chapter number could also be included on the first page so that even after accessing the notes months later, they would know the chapter that the notebook page addresses. The handwriting is not expected to be beautiful but it should be legible enough to understand it. Sticky notes can also be prepared to keep the notes for chapters and can be placed within the chapters of the books that the notes belong to. This is an idea of the raw way of preparing notes from scratch in a classroom setting. One necessary requirement for this type of note-making is active listening in class. This includes the attribute of multitasking wherein the students are listening as well as writing down the keynotes.

Notes can be prepared at home too. Once a chapter is studied, the important points of the chapters can be written in bullet points just like summarising the entire chapter. This is mainly useful when we are in a rush to complete the syllabus before the exam. We may not have time to complete the entire syllabus and in such challenging instances, the notes list may turn out to be a savior helping in the last moment preparation or a professional online exam taker to hire. This will be addressing all the points from a chapter since there would be a textbook being used for reference. There is no active listening involved. One benefit would be that there won’t be any points missing from the lesson and also, when we write something, we tend to remember it better. Thus, it also helps in improving writing skills and improving ways to write notes.

One can even segregate the notes based on color. For example, if chapter one is more important than chapter two, the most important chapter can be written in red while the least important can be written in black or so. This can help in creating clear distinctions about the important topics as well. A colorful approach to note-making also creates motivation in the mind to study before the exams. Creativity can definitely be used as much as possible for making notes that can make this process more fun. However, a major point that should be addressed during the note-making process is again proofreading. Certain words can often be misspelled leading to a whole new meaning which can deviate from the real facts being discussed in that particular chapter.

Taking Tests: Is Cheating Really Worth It?

Whether you're in school or taking a professional certification test, taking a test is always stressful. You may think that having someone else take your test would be the best way to get good grades and pass easily. But cheating on tests isn't worth it in the long run. Let's dive deeper into why you should avoid cheating when taking tests.  Learning vs. Memorizing  The biggest problem with having someone take a test for you is that it doesn't teach you anything. Sure, you may get the grade you want, but what if the material comes up again? When someone takes your test for you, all you are doing is memorizing facts rather than actually learning them. Memory is great for short-term recall but not so much for long-term retention of information. Even if you do manage to memorize the material, when it comes time for more complex tasks like an essay or project, there won't be anyone to do it for you!  Self-Esteem and Confidence  Cheating can also have an impact on your s...
